Spikes Open Tryouts for 2015 Season
The Cincinnati Spikes are pleased to announce open tryouts for the 2015 season.  The Spikes will offer teams at the 10u, 12u, and 15u age levels for the 2015 season.  For those interested in trying out, please find more information and a registration page here.  The tryout dates, times, and locations can be found below:

Spikes Program Updates
The Cincinnati Spikes program has earned victories at all levels in recent contests.  Starting with the Spikes Collegiate team, there were four wins over the weekend.  Saturday saw the Columbus Braves come to Prasco Park for a doubleheader.  Despite a well-played close first game, the Spikes came out with a 6-5 win, followed by a 10-0 win in game 2.  Sunday again held a doubleheader for the Spikes Collegiate team, as Yorkville came to town.  The roles for each game were reversed on Sunday, as game 1 went to the Spikes in easy fashion by a score of 9-2.   Then, game 2 was a close one, as the Spikes Collegiate team prevailed 2-1.  The four wins over the weekend run the Spikes Collegiate record to a perfect 13-0 on the season.  The team is scheduled to be back in action on Tuesday.  70s Night has been moved to Wednesday, June 25 due to forecasted inclement weather.

The Spikes 14u team capitalized on opportunities this past weekend during the Kings Mid-Summer Classic 15u Tournament.  Playing at West Chester Baseball Complex and Kings High School, the Spikes 14u picked up 5 victories on the weekend.  The wins ran the Spikes 14u overall record to 49-4-1 on the season.  The Spikes 14u will host the Midwest Prospect League Tournament this weekend at Prasco Park and Legacy Field, as the top 14u teams in the region compete.  Games will be played all day Friday, all day Saturday, and Sunday afternoon.  Be sure to come out and see some great baseball action.

Monday evening saw the Spikes 11u team back at Legacy Field to take on the Harrison Fury.  After jumping out to an early lead, the Spikes continued to build on its momentum, and eventually won by a final score of 8-1.  The Spikes 11u will be on the road this week as the head to the prestigious Great Black Swamp Classic in Bowling Green, Ohio. 

As mentioned, Prasco Park will host the Midwest Prospect League Tournament.  With that, Prasco Park's second Chick-fil-A Night will be held Friday evening.  We would love to have you come out, enjoy some free Chick-fil-A, free ice cream, and free concessions.  Game time is set for 7:00 pm.  Free chicken sandwiches will begin at 6:00 pm.  As always, admission, parking, and all concessions are free. 

Spikes Program Enjoys Winning Weekend

The Cincinnati Spikes earned victories at every level over the weekend.  All-in-all, the Spikes were a perfect 11 for 11 in the win column againt quality opponents throughout the program.

Starting with the Spikes Collegiate team, the team picked up 3 victories over the weekend.  Saturday saw a single game with the Flash played at Prasco Park.  Behind a strong pitching outing and solid offensive output, the Spikes jumped out to a lead and never relinquished it.  Final score: 9-0.  Sunday saw the Spikes Collegiate team come back for a doubleheader against the Midwest Prospects.  These games were well-played affairs, with the Spikes coming out on top in dramatic fashion in each.  Game 1 saw a walk-off win by a score of 6-5, and game 2 was won in the final at-bat as well, 3-2.  The wins over the weekend run the Spikes Collegiate teeam's record to a perfect 8-0.

The Spikes 14u team participated in the Perfect Game Super 25 Ohio Valley Regional Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky.  With a berth to the Perfect Game Super 25 National Championship on the line, the Spikes 14u put together a winning weekend by winning all 6 of its games.  With the Regional Championship, the team has now advanced to the Innagural Perfect Game Super 25 National Championship in Ft. Myers, Florida.

Finally, the Spikes 11u team was also in action over the weekend at Legacy Field.  The team welcomed the Ohio Elite program down for an afternoon doubleheader. Game 1 was a close game with the Spikes 11u team pulling out a walk-off victory of its own, winning by a score of 3-2.  Game 2 was also won by the Spikes by a larger margin of 8-5.  The Spikes 11u team has run its record to 24-5 on the season.

The Cincinnati Spikes is a non-profit, select, traveling baseball team located in Mason, Ohio. The Spikes are members of the Southwest Ohio League and the Midwest Prospect League.  The club travels throughout the United States and competes against the finest teams in the country.

Our games are played at Prasco Park and Legacy Field, Cincinnati’s premier facility for amateur baseball.  Admission is free, and seating is provided.
