Coach Joe Janusik Entering ODU HOF

Congratulations to Spikes former C (2004) & current 11U coach, Joe Janusik for being rewarded the highest honor . Coach Joe will he entering ODU’s Athletic Hall of Fame in the coming days. He has had a tremendous run in the Spikes uniform & with the Panthers. 

Joe had an outstanding career with the Panthers and brought this experience to the Spikes Coaching Staff. While in college he was an integral piece for a highly successful baseball program during his four years with the Panthers. Janusik, a career .366 hitter with eight home runs, 139 RBI and a .456 on-base percentage, helped guide ODU to a 159-65 record from 2005 through 2008, a .710 winning percentage. He led the team in batting average in 2006 (.390) and 2008 (.434), which led to two of his three First Team All-AMC awards. Janusik was also an NAIA All-American twice during his collegiate career, as he was tabbed to the honorable mention team in 2005 and the second team in 2008.

To go along with nearly 160 wins, the Panthers claimed four regular season conference championships during Janusik’s time on campus. Ohio Dominican had three 40-plus win seasons (2005, 2007, 2008) and qualified for the NAIA World Series in 2005 and 2008.
